What's not to love? Inexpensive - fast - great color matching - works with Homekit - no hub required! I'm buying more.....
I've installed several "smart home" devices, and so far these are my favorite! If you've seen my other reviews you'll notice that I purchased similar bulbs from another vendor previously. The VOCOlinc bulbs, however, are now my "go-to" bulb. They are less expensive to purchase and respond more rapidly than the competing bulbs I've tried. In addition the color matching between bulbs (precision) is very good - I have three of these in one fixture, and when they are all set to purple, they are all the SAME shade of purple! One of my favorite features of these bulbs is that they do NOT require an additional hub to work with Homekit (or Alexa, I'm told). I'm an Apple user, so I am focused on the Homekit functionality - the hub-free operation (using my Apple TV to function as the central base station), easy integration with Siri and the Homekit app, make these clear winners. One Caveat: when you are configuring these, you MUST have the device you are configuring them with (e.g. an iPhone or iPad, etc.) connected to a non-5ghz WiFi network in your house - these bulbs (like most of the others) do NOT work on 5ghz. Once configured you can switch your device back to 5Ghz (or whatever you conventionally use). This does mean that you need to support the "standard" Wifi (non 5Ghz) network on your router, but since every router I've ever dealt with allows you to support ALL protocols simultaneously, this isn't an issue - just a head's up that you'll see a connection failure if you aren't on the non-5Ghz network when configuring.

The lights to buy if you want to integrate it with HomeKit
I had just installed the Ikea HomeKit compatible lights for the high hats in my house, which worked fine, but I wanted lights that did not need a hub or a need a separate hub or remote for the 10 more lights I needed so I took a gamble on these despite the fact that some people had issues getting it installed. I have a Google Wifi mesh network with dual bands (2.4 and 5gh) and I was able to connect to it just fine. Didn't need to turn off anything. Just simply screw the lightbulb in, install the app, allow permission to HomeKit, scan the barcodes (which they give you extra barcode stickers and have barcode stickers above each light and on each light), tell it which room and I was off and running. The color selection and light brightness it gives is impressive. The app also has extra settings that you might want to try out. So if you are debating between some of the high priced (Phillips) and these, I would highly recommend these. With the money you save you can install more lights. I will update if anything changes.

These work perfectly. Honestly. And for Apple HomeKit compatibility, look no further.
I was really wary of purchasing these bulbs, because of the negative reviews. For my needs, these bulbs work great 100% of the time. They connected in about 2 minutes to my iPhone, they sync with Apple HomeKit on my phone, I can set "scenes" of exact brightness and warmth for every smart bulb in the room, I can control them with my voice ("Hey, Siri") or with the buttons on my iPhone and MacBook. I've never had them disconnect since setting them up.Don't think twice, get them.

Good color changing bulb for the price
Pro's1. price2. works with homekit and alexa3. colors/whites are good.Con's1. App isn't that good, takes forever to just get into the color settings. i usually use homekit to do that.2. doesn't have effects like other competitors have like candle flicker, strobe, music syncing, etc3. not as bright as competitors

Love theses bulbs...
Love these bulbs. Using with Apple HomeKit, makes turning on in evening and off at night very easy!

Vocolinc surprisingly good. Linkwise App....ehhhh.
I have at least 5 Vocolinc bulbs, 3 color bulbs, 2 tunable dusk bulbs and they work extremely well with both HomeKit AND Alexa. Better price than Lifx too which I have about 4 bulbs. Aesthetically though, the Lifx look prettier than the Vocolinc. Vocolinc...just don't raise your prices please.

Lacking in Customer Support & Backing Up Their Products. Left me in the dark
Connection issues started for [1] of the bulbs within a few months of use. Eventually, the bulb would fail to connect including when removing from HomeKit & attempting to add back. I followed the user guide & reset to factory [power cycle] each time...[2] dozen times in total. I tried different locations in the house; reset the router & restarted my iPhone. Contacted VOCOlinc directly on 6.13.19. I was quick to get a response on 6.14.19 & was given a link for viewing a troubleshoot video. I followed the steps...[12] times with again no connection. Having spent a ridiculous amount of time to change a lightbulb, I asked VOCOlinc for a replacement on 6.27.19. I have since followed up on the replacement but VOCOlinc has failed to acknowledge & backup their product. As for the other bulb, no issues whatsoever. Regret not purchasing another Phillip Hue bulb as a basically paid just as much for a single functioning bulb. I had been curious to try other VOCOlinc products but after this experience, I'm staying away. VOCOlinc had an opportunity to correct, they left me in the dark.

From an Apple/Siri perspective, works very well within my Apple Home setup
Fantastic. Works with all three smart home assistants: Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri. In fact, it is currently one of the few hub-free smart devices, it seems, that is compatible with Apple HomeKit/Siri—at least, in the UK. Has its own iOS (and I presume Android) app, which works nicely, but it also works nicely with the Home app and within the whole HomeKit ecosystem. I wish there were more VOCOlinc products available in the UK, like their smart power strip—and that their products were a little less pricey.

Great price, nice colours and ample brightness
Update: they e improved the app and there are now some basic transitions. Good stuff!!!Can’t fault these for the money, the only draw back is the screw fitting. The app is quite basic with the only real feature being to set favorite colours. If you want transitions you’re going to have to do it through HomeKit rules and timers. On 1% setting, they make great nightlights and use around 0.25w from my measurements.

Probably one of the best
For £25 this is probably one of the best Smart lights you are going to get. It connects to Apple HomeKit well and at first the connection to Alexa was a little confusing but in the 5 days I have had the app, it has been updated and is much easier to use. Alexa is also a little slow in completing the task compared to Siri from an iPhone but it would be if it was going through numerous servers.

Probably better ones out there but it works
50:50 chance of my phone being able to connect to it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

Exactly what I’ve been waiting for.
I’ve been waiting a long time for a HomeKit smart bulb that doesn’t need a hub at a reasonable price point and have found it. It’s exactly what I’ve been waiting for.
