They seem to be healthier than the other protein bars. Less fat and sugar--great product and price. I wish they were a little more softer but I take little bites. I'm going to put one in a little milk and put in the microwave for a short time to see if it softer to eat. No nuts which was hard for me to find on Amazon. I like that there is no Stevie and no artificial sugar. I will continue to buy them in different flavors. I do believe they are one of the healthiest on Amazon and a terrific price.

Not strongly flavored like some Clif products. But decent. Would probably be better dipped in coffee.

I'm a big fan of the CLIF Builder's Bars. I'm trying to bulk up, and these help immensely. I eat one about 30 minutes before weight lifting, and they give me a good amount of energy (30g carbohydrate) and muscle building material (20g protein). I don't personally do this, but I think they'd also be great to eat immediately post workout if you're trying to bulk up. The carbs will give you an insulin spike in order to go into an anabolic (building) state, and the protein will provide a good amount of muscle building nutrient.By no means should these be used for people dieting and trying to lose weight (unless you plan on using it as a complete meal replacement). But even then, I feel like you could get 300 calories in a more sustaining manner.Personally, I'm a big fan of the Peanut Butter and teh Mint Chocolate Chip flavors, but the Cookies and Cream isn't bad. Give one a try pre-workout, you will not be disappointed!

Best tasting Clif Bars ever!

Honestly, I was excited for these because they had high protein, and no substitute sugars and I love cookies and cream flavor. The taste was very average and almost bland. You do get 20g of protein which is awesome but I felt myself sort of dreading finishing the whole bar because of how bland it was. It's not BAD, it's just not great. However, it's valued very nicely compared to other protein bars given the cost per gram of protein. I believe this one is also a plant base protein. The texture is alright, sort of dry but not terrible with a bit of a crunch.Overall, for the value, they're great if you're looking for a lower cost protein bar to be filling and meet your protein needs. If you're looking for taste and texture, I'd probably try some other ones.

I love these bars. I use them on bike rides, long hikes, and on road and plane trips when food is not readily available.I prefer these to other bars because of the high protein content. Most bars seem to be mostly carbs, which is a lot easier to get when traveling than is protein for me (I'm vegetarian.)There are only negative a couple of slightly negative things I can really say about them:1) They are dense and heavy (which you may not like on a long hike) but I guess that's what it takes to get all of the calories and protein packed into them.2) They are sweeter than I prefer which makes it difficult for me to eat more than one at a time. But they definitely taste better than most other bars in my opinion.
