Great product!
This gate is wonderful. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing it, and it had a lot of great reviews which were helpful. We needed a pressure-mounted gate to go between our living room and kitchen. We originally wanted a retractable gate, but there were uneven studs and a lot of messed-up electrical wiring in the wall, so we decided to forget mounting anything. This gate is very attractive and blends in nicely with our decor. The little arch gives it a nice look. It was fairly easy to put up, and is very sturdy. It's easy to open and close, and I love that it opens both ways and closes automatically. It also can stay open if you need it to, which was a must for us. We just leave it open when the baby is upstairs. I do wish that the door was a little bit wider, but it's really not a big deal. I'm very pleased with the gate overall, and am glad I decided on this one.

Sturdy, nicely painted, it works!
Very very happy with this gate to keep our dog out of the dining room. Easy to operate: the door can either be pushed open or pulled open from both sides. If it is opened wide enough, it will remain open. It was a little challenging to put together because of this useless little wrench that came with it. If you have a pair of vice-grips, they will save you a lot of grief. Could not be happier. Very well painted--i don't expect it to chip. Nice off white color. It also has an additional "lock" on it in case clever children figure out how to to press down to get it to open. Although our dog figured out how to slide open pocket doors with her a nose... I don't think she will be able to figure this one out. Besides I like having just the gate and being able to see into our dining room instead of having the pocket door closed all the way.

Works for small puppy with adjustment
The gate is well made and sturdy. I also ordered the extension. Only issue I have is with the attachment point to the wall. When you thread the bolts out to squeeze it in between the walls it creates a gap that my dog was easily able to get thru. I have a Morkie puppy. I was able to fix this by getting some ¼" nylon rope and wrapping it between the top and bottom bolt several times to fill the void. Now he cannot get thru.

Very sturdy gate and easy to operate
My sister has this gate and it has held up very well with her almost 2 yr old, that I asked her what brand it was so that I could order. I purchase two of these gates plus one extension for a wider opening. My hubby put these together very easily and they work perfect and very simple to use with one hand while holding a baby. I especially like that the gate has the ability to stay open, so when the baby is not in his play area gates remain open for easy access. The color was perfect with our decor. Highly recommend.

It took some time to understand but then was fairly easy once I understood the concept
I spent a LONG time searching for baby gates. I had a very specific list of requirements as we are using this in a high traffic area and hopefully for years to come. I wanted one that...- Was wide enough that I didn't feel the need to turn sideways to walk through- Stayed open- Automatically closed- Swung in both directions- Locked for added security- One hand operationThis gate has met all of those requirements! I did not find a single other gate that had all of them.Tip: after about 2 months I noticed the gate wasn't closing on it's own anymore. I adjusted a few times to make sure it was straight up and down. Eventually I noticed that there was some build up on the strike plate where the metal piece slips in. I just wiped it off with my finger and voila- no more problem. So now every couple of weeks or so I just take a second to clean it.Set up: This was my first baby gate to set up. It took some time to understand but then was fairly easy once I understood the concept. It was helpful to have a second set of hands, especially because I had purchased cups to protect the wall. The gate comes with a small tool to help tighten/loosen the screws.

Perfect to gate off our basement stairs. Keeps our dogs (and little kids if you have them) from wandering down there.
we have this as a gate to the basement to keep our dogs from going down there. Works great! Only thing to be aware of it that there is a bar to step over as part of the gate, but for our use, that is not an issue. This looks very nice too.

Great easy to install, secure gate
So we now have four of this same gate installed throughout the house. One at the top of the stairs, one in the downstairs hallway leading to the stairs, one going into the dining room, and one very large opening going into a breakfast nook/now playroom off the kitchen. I think we bought two and then two more after we were so satisfied with the first purchase. The gate literally does install in about 10 minutes and is pretensioned so you have to tighten the top more than the bottom. This makes install nice because you can easily adjust before really cranking down on it. Simple but secure latch system as well.We have wrought iron stair railings and tried to go with the an iron gate to mimic this but it was such a pain to install we ended up returning and buying more of this one. Can't say much more except I would buy this again if we needed another!

Ordered two of them. One was new in the ...
Ordered two of them. One was new in the box but missing the screws and double sided tape to attach the end cap. The second one came in a badly shaped box and inside was someone's return slip. I have to guess that they just reshipped someone's return without checking the parts. To top it off, it was missing 3 out of 4 end caps and the wrench.
