Great quality. Amazing to cook with.
Great wok, very sturdy. Just what I was looking for. Once you clean and season this thing it is great. You just need to treat it like you would any other bare iron or cast iron cookware. And it will be just as nonstick as teflon if done right. When seasoned to a nice dark copper/ black color, the color and the hand hammering make it look like you pulled it right out of some grandmother's house in China. But believe them when they list the sizes on these woks. For reference a normal stove is 30 inches. So an 18 inch wok cover probably half the stove. This is best cooked on outside on a dedicated burner. Or inside on a modern turbo burner but if you use it inside you better have some good ventilation because getting this thing hot enough to cook properly will make a lot of heat.

I feel like I'm cooking in a restaurant.
Like other reviewers say, if you got an electric stove, don't get this. You won't be able to cook with it.This is a fine woke. I finally bit the bullet and got this massive sucker because I love stir fry and making meals for a family of four often meant ingredients falling out of the smaller wok I had and nothing cooking quickly. This thing works beautifully with a hot flame directly under it. It's sturdy and best of all, massive! I had to hang it on the wall, becasue it was far too big to fit in our cabinets. It comes with a layer of protective mineral oil on it, so wash it good. Next, it needs to be seasoned. Set that thing on a hot fire and get it heated up until it changes colors. Move it around in the heat to get the rest of it to change. I seasoned the entire wok, while some people just season the middle portion. It's up to you and how you want to do it. You can start cooking with it immediately. Use some oil and spread it around before throwing any food in. Things might stick here and there at first, but after about the third meal I've made, there's nothing sticking at all. You'll also probably want to pick up a wok spatula, since they have a curved lip to scoop food from the rounded bottom.

Authentic
This is a real wok and it works great. Take care of it like cast iron and it’ll be fine. When you get it there is metal oil that you need to wash off... it took me about 20min, rub it with a white cloth when you think you’re done and if it stays white your actually done...black means keep going obviously 🙄. Once you get past that you will love this thing.

Looks awesome, but has a dent, maybe from shipping.
It looks exactly like what I wanted. I have a Calphalon 10" wok that was like $80 and really sturdy, but I wanted a big thin lightweight Chinese restaurant type wok that fits a ton of rice, etc., and I don't have to be so careful about stirring it, and can get a lot hotter. This is it.But there's a dent in the bottom that will be a problem so I'm returning it. It wasn't packed all that well so maybe it got dented in transit. It could probably be hammered out, but not by me.

Wonderful - ignore the 1 star people that don’t know what they’re doing
This is an absolutely fantastic wok for the price. Season it properly and you’ll have no issues whatsoever. I’ve made about eight stirfry dishes on mine already and I absolutely love it. It works great. Totally non-stick after you season it properly. All the other reviews on here that complain about rust or give it one star have no idea what they’re doing, they didn’t season anything properly. Steel rusts if bare.

Super dirty and rusts!
This was really dirty, the metal gives off this black dust and contaminates my food. When I washed it clean so that I could return it, I let it dry on a rack and the water drops that didn't run off and sat on it ended up rusting the metal into orange spots! Just horrible!

perfect size for family of 4
I also have one of the 14 inch for a while but found it to small and had to break dinner into 2-3 batches but finding two of them are perfect together being able to cook some things in the one while using the large for the main dish then combining has actually been a huge helponly have a 30k burner right now and really feel the need for at least 60K or more burner so going to be updating that soonseasoning etc... follow directions on the internet and its good to gofor me the wok with a decent burner is one of those things that does give the extra flavor you cant put your finger on that will bring your stir fry or other things to the next level so its a must have IMHO anyway :)

I'm impressed!
At first I was afraid of this carbon steel, but after googling on how to season it, I dove in as soon as it arrived and got it seasoned. Amazingly it worked! I love everything about this wok right down to the hand hammered look. It's lightweight, yet sturdy. I have a huge sink, so it fits well. A word of warning though. If you have a small sink, you may want to buy a 14" to make it easy on yourself during cleanup.
