Wall-Mounted Industrial Clothes Rail - Adjustable Width Floating Shelves & Pull-Down Clothes Bar

I bought this for my specific use case which is a small closet that has high ceilings. I had the Rev a shelf unit and in the lowered position it came out too far from the wall. The ability to offset this one at an angle in it's raised position means the lift can be attached to the sides of the closet at the back wall. That means when lowered, the leading edge of the clothes come about 38" from the back wall as compared to about 50" or more with the Rev a shelf.The lift hardware also seems to be superior to the Rev a shelf. It handles more weight smoothly. There's a soft lowering at the bottom and enough power to lift a significant amount of weight once you get it going. The Rev a shelf only had a cheap bumper at the bottom and it felt like it was going to break when lifting about 60% of the weight that the other unit had no trouble with. Total weight I put on this was 6 two piece suits with heavy duty cedar suit hangers and about 15 sweaters on wooden hangers.Only issue I had was It arrived with a broken piece (the plastic shield that keeps dust and dirt out of the action). I contacted the seller and they promptly sent me a replacement and it was very simple to fix.

This clothes hanger was functional and easy to install. However, this particular unit was a replacement for one purchased at the end of 2022. The first unit dripped oil and stained the grout on our tile floor in the laundry room. After two months of usage, the replacement unit also began dripping oil. Overall, this unit is very functional and fulfills its purpose. However, the dripping oil outweighs all of the good points. I would not recommend purchasing it.

I just installed this. It seems to be very well made and sturdy, but I was disappointed that the instructions were in Chinese, the mounting brackets are designed to be mounted on the side of studs not flat against the wall (i did a work around), and there were two parts included that were not on the part as list or shown in the pictures. I figured out what these two parts were designed for and they were very useful. Also, Amazon should tell us the country where items are made so we can decide whether we will buy items from that country.

Really cool addition to our closet allowing us to utilize every inch of space up to the cieling.
