RothcoRanger Map Pocket/Fatigue Cap

It does not fit my head and according to the size it should. I simply put two small cuts at each side of velcro on the back of cap and it fit very well. I really like the pocket on the inside of the cap very handy. Lots of my friends commented on how much they liked it and how they wanted one. I still am very happy with my purchase and would buy from this seller again.

I'm in the military and will be comparing these to the patrol caps received as standard issue at basic training. I will be referring to these as RC (Rothco) and the issued caps as OI (Original Issue).First, the brim on these RC caps is outstanding. They're firm yet they can easily be flexed to your desired curvature. I could never manage this with the OI caps; it would always tend to flatten out on its own. The velcro on the back is fine. The fabric on the RC caps is noticeably thinner than the OI caps. I prefer the heavier fabric of the OI caps but you may not. But by far, my favorite thing about these RC caps is their fit. I had to give the OI caps constant attention and some serious tweaking every time I put them on just to avoid looking like a combat baker or tactical train conductor. These RC caps require no extra worry and look fine when donned like a baseball cap. This is a big plus factor for me.Hopefully this will help someone out there.

came in good condition, it’s comfortable to wear and has a pretty neat pocket for something flat. Overall it’s a almost military grade hat. Brim was flat, makes sense but just has to straighten it out

i ordered it for my son as he was very specific on what he wanted for a hat ("flat top", "desert digital", "army camo") . i was skeptical about the quality and fit as the description was vague with cap size. i ordered a 6-3/4 AFTER i figured that the size was the diameter of the cap, it is not standard clothes size or head circumference (so you need to know a little math to know the correct size to order). my son was ecstatic and put it on right away. quality was good and sturdy. i definitely will buy again next size up when son outgrows this one! one thing i would love it even more - if they make it with option for a neck flap. son and sunblock do not go well together so first choice would have been for that. i just attached a home-made flap with velcro and it works just fine for this.

This patrol cap does not fit as expected. When I have been issued these in the past by my unit have fit so much better in the same cap size. However if you are in a pinch and need a patrol cap (and cant get to your supply NCO) this will do to get you through. It shipped fast and is made of decent material besides my sizing gripe I don't have anything else to truly complain about.

I ordered this hat twice to no satisfaction. Both times, the stated size was not compatible with other hats I've purchased in same size. 1st hat was for me. I have a big head size 7 1/2 and know from experience what that size needs to be. The one they sent was so much smaller, I couldn't even it force it on. So in frustration I ordered a smaller one for my kid. This one came in way too big against her normally fitted size. Cheap product and just can't seem to get their sizing together. Both hats sold in a recent garage sale. :(

This is a pretty high quality hat. Digital pattern is crisp and clear, fits comfortably. The visor is a bit flat, but can be bent pretty easily into a more ideal shape. Has a map pocket on the inside of the top for holding whatever you decide to slip in there, and a velcro strip along the back for some name tape. Very nice.Only downside is it just a tiny bit too loose on my head, but that's my own error. Highly recommend, This hat is definitely worth the price being asked for now.

It’s a non military spec hat from a military clothing bender. It’s not made in the US and would not pass to be worn as an active soldier. The stitching is off and it runs about 1/2 size big. If you want an imitation look alike hat , it’s fine, but if your looking for military specs, go to a military surplus outlet.
