Best Window Fan Ever For Efficient And Quiet Home Cooling And Air Circulation!
We needed 3 new window fans for home cooling at night during warm and hot months. We have used Vornado floor fans for years, and absolutely love them. Did not hesitate to turn to Vornado again for our window fan purchases.Another hit out of the park for Vornado! Love these window fans.- Sleek appearance taking minimal space. Easy to fit into 26 in - 40 in windows.- Efficient performance, incredible airflow, and very quiet. Very quiet ambient noise even at the highest speed 4.- The unit is easy to handle/lift up and down from window with the handle/carrying indentations on the sides.- As seen in photo, comes with additional hard foam rigid pieces if you wish to make the fan a more permanent window installation. Also comes with a remote control unit.- Unit has both air intake and air exhaust modes.- Can set unit to automatically turn off/on to maintain a set temperature.- Handy instruction manual. The unit overall is very easy to operate.Use note: We do not keep the fan units permanently in our windows. Rather, we place them in the windows at night for night time cooling, and remove them in the morning and close the windows. As such, we are not using the extra rigid foam pieces for a more permanent installation. The fans are very easy to take in and out of the window if you want to use them in a similar fashion.I highly recommend this product.

Our favorite window fan
Works perfectly & fits extremely well in our various window sizes due to the different sized inserts included with the purchase. We own three of these fans now. We can use them for exhaust and incoming air. They are quiet, look pretty, and I like that they don't block our view of the outside due to their compact size. Easy to place and take out of the window, because I don't leave them in when we aren't home, so the windows can be locked.

A Niche Design
*This is a temporary review that I will update if my opinion changes. This fan is a niche product, let us make this clear. It's a fan designed for semi-permanent (spring/summer) installation into the window of a room that has ventilation issues. In my case, my upstairs bedroom becomes an oven because heat rises and "smart" thermostats think we all live on the ground floor. I set the fan to exhaust and set the temp to 72 degrees, so when the temp in the room gets above 72 it kicks on pushes the hot air out and draws cool air from the rest of the house. So far this seems to be working well and it was cheaper and more power efficient option than the window AC I was considering for the job.Installation was easy enough with a second set of hands: Install a block on one side, press fan body against said block to compress it, arrange blocks for other side, release fan body, fiddle with blocks to make sure a snug fit, time for a soda pop. The block-spacers make for a snug fit in my windows and they likely have a much higher insulation value that the design alternatives, they look better too. I think I actually spent more time figuring out the remote than I did with the installation into the window. As much as I appreciate recyclable low-waste packaging including a manual or at least a scan code for a .pdf version would have been much appreciated. I googled the manual of course, easily, but I shouldn't have been forced to do so.The noise levels in a real world terms: Low is barely noticeable, Medium is noticeable but you can have a conversation next to it without shouting, High is loud enough that you may want to take a few steps away from it before starting a conversation. In sum, satisfactory for my purposes.Update 1: It is now 77 deg F outside and it's habitable upstairs thanks to this fan pulling air up from downstairs. The only tip I have is that you'd be best served by putting some type of insulation between the top and bottom window panes, as my fan was blowing hot air back in through the gap. A plastic amazon mailing envelope worked for me but ymmv.

Quiet window fan that moves a lot of air.
Purchased to vent our garage ( that has a single hung window). Works great. Remote control model. Set it at the temperature I wanted. Automatically turns on late morning and off in the evening as expected. Very quiet and moves a lot air with its cylinder still fan blades ( different than other window fans). We have a variety of Vornado fans and have always been impressed with the quality of their products. The foam blocks didn’t fit super well in my old aluminum window but it looks like they would work fine for typical vinyl windows.
