Permatex59214 High Temperature Thread Sealant, 6 ml Tube, Pack of 1

I've had leaking threads on the oil lines for a remote spin-on engine oil filter, for years. Disassembled, cleaned everything thoroughly, and applied according to instructions. Let the connections set for 2 days, just to be sure. Knock on wood, but all connections are still perfect a month later. The little that remains on the outside still smears, but the threads are solid. Apparently the pressure in the threaded joint is what causes this sealer to do its job. I give this stuff 5 stars.

Used on an air compressor check valve. It does the job that people think thread sealer does, but it cures more solid. Teflon tape and pipe dope work more like lubricants to let the pipe thread get another turn to seal better. In this case, the threads are inset and can’t just be torqued more to seal, so it needs something that sets to seal, like this. Seems to be equivalent to stock. Seems to do a similar job to Gasoila.

This durable thread locker is easy to use, dries fast and of top quality. Perfect to use on bolt on the engine.

I used this on oil plugs for oil pans, transfer cases, differentials and a few other things. No issues or leaks so far. Easy to apply, reposition and seals well.
