This product is indeed fermented and we do have all products third party tested before we will accept them in to the facility.

There are many cordyceps extracts out there, there is over 200 species of Cordyceps - did you know ? This is Mycellium grown, and is not the best form if you are wanting to consume a medicinal mushroom. You want your mushroom extract/supplement to be from the fruiting body no matter what, or at-least 50% Fruiting body 50% Mycellium. The fruiting body is where the most of the bio-active ingredients are, and where they are extracted from in the high-quality products out there. - The best i have found for medicinal mushrooms is from a website called --> www.Ginsengstoreandmore.com - They sell a Cordyceps and Reishi extract that is from the fruiting body only and is produced by a company called Nammax. Nammax is the #1 company for medicinal mushrooms out there, they sell the good stuff and have certificates to back everything up. You also get a great bargin on the www.ginsengstoreandmore.com website, 114 grams for $28.99 is really good!! Check them out.

Q: Is this from both the fruiting body and mycelium?

Correction: the statement came from one of the reviewers: "this product is a CS-4 mycelium, not fruiting bodies. Therefore there is no cordycepin present. If you want cordycepin, buy c. militaris fruiting body powder. If you want adenosine and polysaccharides, buy CS-4. If you want both (which is present in wild cordyceps) then buy wild cordyceps, or buy both Cs-4 and C.militaris (cheapest method) and combine the two." I just want the record to reflect that I have no idea what the above means.

Q: what is the ratio of this product?

Though I use Cordyceps directly in a Vitamixer, 1/2 teaspoon twice a day ( as instructions state) is equivalent to 1 teaspoon per day, or, if loading into gel-caps, 2 capsules a day.
