On god whoever owned this drone before me took the upmost care with it. This person kept evey bag and box you can think of when unboxing an item. This person also gave me batteries for the remote(big thanks), and propeller blades look very nice as well as drone. Highly recommended sellar in my eyes even though I haven't flown the thing as I'm sitting here waiting for the battery to charge to see if it actually works🤣. I have a good feeling it will.

In no world, including ours, is this a 4k capable camera. It's 480p at best. 1 star for just straight up lying.Other than that, if you don't care about image quality, it's a fine drone to learn with. I had some issues initially with it flying in circles on its own but it seems to have fixed itself after a few violent uncontrollable crashes.The claimed range is also dramatically overstated. I can get about 80m high and 300m away before it starts to lose signal.

My first drone, easy to set up and learn the basics. Don't make the mistake of learning in a small space. I hit a couple of things without damage. Learning in a big field, was super fun and easy. The wind was blowing and no problem super stable.

It randomly loses controls and crashes. I've gone through many propellers and even destroyed a propeller guard when it flew away and crashed into my garage door. It's too heavy to fly legally and it doesn't mention this anywhere. You have to be in line of site for the video to work on your phone. This should have had adapters to plug phone into the remote. The camera is definitely not 4k video and the pictures aren't any better.

This is my third later model mid-range drone from the same maker. They are all absolutely good drones both for fun and for aerial video or photography. I fly them at my spare time for recreation, and I have a boat load of fun doing it. They fly and perform comparably with higher priced drones. I am glad I can't loose them with the reliable GPS return home feature. It helps though to follow the instructions in the manual for paring and calibration before use. Highly recommended!

I would give this product zero stars if I could.This is a horrible company with a horrible product and horrible customer service. This drone was purchased for me as a gift. On my first flight out I made sure that all batteries were charged (controller and drone). I followed all of the directions to calibrate the drone. Once I pushed the one key take off button the drone did lift up as expected but then it took off on its own and flew about 15 feet straight into the ground. I tried repressing the lift off button (this is suppose to gently put it back down) but it didn’t work. There was nothing I could do to stop it.I called customer service and I explained everything that happened. When they asked if I could provide an order number I restated that this was a gift and they couldn’t help me without it. So I called the person that gifted it and just asked for an order number which they gave me. I called customer service back and was then told that the order number wasn’t sufficient enough that I needed to send them a screenshot of the actual order. At this point I’m beyond upset. I’ve repeatedly told them this was a gift. I was not going to continue to harass the person that gifted it to me. I could give them a serial number, and whatever else they needed but that wasn’t good enough for the person on the phone.So in short, my sweet family bought what they believed was a good gift and threw their money away. There are tons of threads on Reddit of people having similar issues with this drone just taking off on its own. Don’t waste your money.

Price point for this drone is really good, especially on sale. You can often get the 720G for cheaper than the "lower level" 720 or 720E. Unfortunately, performance was a mixed bag.On my first flight, drone was smooth, although it had a hard time hovering in place. It would trace an 8 ft or so horizontal circle. The second flight went much better, with the drone being rock solid and steady. It flew like a charm, and I was able to inspect the gutters in my home very easily. Both flights I had calibrated the drone preflight, had confirmed that it had plenty of GPS satellites visible (via the remote control), and wind conditions were low. At the end of the second flight, I did have a scary moment when the battery went too low, and the drone started a return home routine. Even though the drone was practically overhead of its launch site, it still shot up to 50ish feet and I had to coax it down via the remote. Turns out the flight time between the battery low warning and the battery is really low come home level is only about one minute.The third flight didn't work out as well. Flying down the road, the drone suddenly lurched left, right into a tree. The drone's motors continued spinning even after it landed upside down on the ground. Had to approach it carefully, to grab it without getting my hand caught. No amount of throttling down on the remote would get the motors to turn off. I would have expected an emergency cutoff switch if the drone notices it's game over (e.g. it is upside down). Surprisingly, the drone itself, including propellers, had very little damage after the encounter with the tree and road. Unfortunately, the pitch gimbal on the camera had some sort of issue that ended up having the camera pointing up and back into the drone, rather than forward.Holy Stone support was excellent in trying to help me sort out the camera issue. The gimbal still moved, and the drone would attempt to calibrate the gimbal. But rather than the gimbal ranging from down to forward, it now ranged from forward to up and back. No amount of gimbal calibration resolved the issue. Holy Stone ultimately offered to exchange the drone for free (again, incredible service!) since it was still in the Amazon return period. I ultimately opted to just return it, as reading further reviews on multiple sites led me to realize that the sort of sudden maneuver I experienced, as well as flyaways, are common with this drone. Check the Holy Stone Facebook groups for lots of comments about the airworthiness of the HS720 seriesSome additional notes... battery was as advertised, and I was able to fly for a nice solid 25 minutes. Camera quality via streaming (never got to try out the SD card) was excellent, although a little bit over exposed. I really like the fact that the remote has an LCD with some amount of feedback - including signal strength, battery levels, and number of GPS satellites. Makes it possible to fly the drone without a phone/app attached and still have some amount of information about the system's status. I've noticed some well-known competitors do not have any displays on their remotes.One final point - in September 2023 all drones greater than 250 g in the USA must not only be registered, but they must be equipped with a Remote ID beacon. Vendors were supposed to have a solution implemented by September 2022 allowing the consumer one year to transition. Even though I bought this drone in December 2022, it did not come equipped with Remote ID. Holy Stone customer service's reply to my inquiry consisted of "we are working on a solution, and we will let you know when ready". Since the firmware is not upgradable on these, I presume the solution, if any, will involve an add on hardware module, thereby increasing weight and decreasing flying time. (And of course, may have a cost associated with it). So come 16 September 2023 you could potentially have a drone that is technically illegal to fly in the USA outside of very specific FAA registration areas (e.g. flying parks).This review is not a verified purchase, as the HS720G drone I got was a gift from my partner rather than purchased on my own account)

I have had a blast flying this drone! I can't say anything negative about it.It was priced reasonable and has all the features you need to record great videos and photos. The flight time is really good as well . If your a beginner or someone who has other drones this is one I would want to have.
