It does what it is supposed to do - it's waterproof and can be used as a ground sheet for a tent or sitting on damp ground, or it can be used as a waterproof tarp.While the material is really good and strong, it *WILL* be damaged by any sharp stones / sticks etc, so select a clear area, or remove all sharp items first. For rough ground with rock / stones / sticks etc, you should first lay down a similar size piece of heavy duty woven nylon / polyethylene ground sheet or tarp, which as much harder wearing and resists sharp stone well, but is usually much less waterproof and heavier.It is lightweight and packs away easily to a small size, highly useful for hiking / walking etc. Ideal for use as part of an emergency survival kit.

Must have if buying a tent, small light good quality and can be used as a small tarp.
