These cages are very tall and very sturdy. The legs are long and the metal is thicker than most. The cost is a little high, but these will last for years.They work for Tall (indeterminate) variety tomato plants. I would recommend to continually raise the limbs through the next openings while they grow.I placed one around a pepper plant but it’s honestly too big for peppers.It works great for cucumbers, peas and running green beans. It folds easily flat and stores well. This is the second set I purchased.I do wish they made them a little wider. To prevent the cage from falling over I recommend covering first layer with soil, especially if used in a garden box where the soil is loose verses the ground. So far no rust and I left my fist set out all winter.

I just received these and put them to use, and I already love them! I've tried all varieties of tomato cages from the old school round metal ones to the plastic adjustable variety, and I believe these will be my last experiment because they are very well made of thick metal, and all you have to do is pull them open from flat to square and push them into the soil. They are holding up the plants and tomatoes quite well. I will buy more if I need them, not because they will fall apart, but because I am planting more vines.

I do not know how well these will hold up over time as we just got them, but they are sturdy and seem very well made. I'm pleased with the product so far; pricey - but may be quite a bargain if they last for years. I would recommend these, especially for larger indeterminate tomato plants. The size is perfect!

I've previously used some "Amish" made tomato cages of similar size and design, but they are way more expensive. These appear to be about the same heavy duty vertical and horizontal wire as the "Amish" but at a more Amazon friendly price (and free delivery for Prime). These should last decades with some end of season care. Very nice and heavy duty folding cages (I have the 13" wide version now, but also ordered some of the 9" ones for other plants - those are not here yet).

These are very sturdy tomato cages! I stack them up to make a taller tower for my tomatoes and hold the 2 together with zip ties and further reinforce by driving steel stakes into the ground around them on 2 sides. I bought some of these 2 years ago and they have held up beautifully with no rust, and because they are sturdy, they are easier to fold flat than some of the flimsier wire cages found online when the end of the season arrives. My only complaint is that the steel cage wire is easier to bend than I think it should and goes to cost. However, bottom line is that I do believe at the price point I think they do fairly well when I consider the fact that I do not want to construct my own out of heftier fencing available from local feed stores.
