Great for the money...
I've had this boom box for over a month now, and have taken it to the beach at least four times - so far, the original batteries I installed a month ago are still working fine, even after long hours of use; though at home I use the electrical cord to conserve power. I use it in my backyard almost every day. Made for iPod, but I use it for my Creative Zen Micro (had to purchase an additional $7 cord at Walmart to use my MP3 player). Fills the backyard with a good volume of music, used it for a large party and the sound was fine. Not perfect, but good enough for a backyard BBQ.Pros: good volume; good sound; highly portable; durableCons: no easy way to dock my MP3 player which is NOT an iPod, have to use a rubber band instead to hold it in place, which looks cheap and cheesy; ALSO radio is useless, as the antenna barely picks up any stations, but then I didn't buy it for radio use anyway. This isn't going to blow you away with sound quality, so if you're a stickler for perfect sound, look elsewhere. But if you're like me and you just want to hear the music you have stored on your MP3 player and things like tone and bass control don't matter to you, then this is a good purchase. For the cost, you get what you pay for: portability, good sound and volume.

Good product for streaming radio
I was little confused when I received the product. The way the different Ipod adapters are defined is a joke.Personally I use an Ipod touch 16G and I spend my time outside of my country so streaming the radio on portable device like that is great. The sound is average but see the price it is not designed to listen music with a great sound.I have just a negative feedback, it seems that whatever the position you select (off, Ipod, radio), it seems to be charging all the time the Ipod.So if you are using the battery and forget to remove the Ipod, it will discharge the batteries. But see the price, that product is great.

cheaply engineered product
Just received this yesterday and had to post this review. First off let me start by saying i'm not at all impressed with this ilive (boombox). ..It isn't a boombox by no means.. my 10.00 20year old weather band GE radio has about the same (boombox) sound quality if you get my meaning. The power cord is loose and falls out easily after a few times i slightly moved this thing on my end table in my bedroom. This alone is reason enough to want to return it. I just can't see this a lasting product especially at around 50 dollars range.. perhaps it will someday be a good deal selling it at around 20.00 dollars because truely this is about what it is worth. regards, john

I-Pod Docking System
I love the idea of plugging in my i-pod and being able to carry it around, listening to my music, without having to use headphones. The one thing I do not like is using 8 C cell batteries which make the portablility pretty heavy.Needs some work to make this portable listening device lighter to carry.

Good iDock Christmas Gift
I bought this for my little sister for Christmas. She loves it. We have several iPod docking stations in my house and she prefers this one. It is compatible with many iPods, has loud, clear volume, and the extras like the clock and radio are awesome. My sister has since used it for several years and it continues to play just fine for her.I would recommend this to anyone looking for an ipod docking station.

Lemon?
At first I thought the unit was completely DOA as I plugged it into several outlets and got no power. Finally, after plugging and unplugging the power cord from the back of the unit a few times I could get it to power on for a second or two before it would die. Repeat. Then it would come on and stay on for a minute or so before dying again. Or, it would power off when I so much as touched/moved it. So, I guess it's a lemon. The sound quality was actually somewhat decent considering the unit's size and price, for the minute I got to hear it.

Horrendous sound
It's relatively small in size and is very light, so the convenience is good I suppose but the sound coming out of this little thing is horrendous, to the point you don't feel like listening to your ipod any more. I certainly did not expect anything spectacular for this price, but this is beyond acceptable. My builtin computer speakers produce a better quality sound than this. It's going back.

Very pleased with the 2807
I just received the 2807 and I'm amazed at the good/loud sound I get from this small boombox. Now admittedly it's not a $300 Bose, but I didn't expect that in the first place. It was only $38 with the free shipping. The only problem I had was that since I have an iTouch, they did not include an adapter for that model iPod, but after a call to customer service, they are sending me one.I'm mainly going to use it to listen to Podcasts in the garden and possibly radio.I've looked a long time for a small boombox for the iPod and this model seems to have it all.
