You are a vigilante. That's what the game is all about. The main protagonist, Aiden Pearce has a remorseful past. His wife and child have died in an accident. He tries to maneuver himself into safe locations inside the Chicago city walls, and tries to hack into cameras which are controlled by the CTOS: It is a software produced by Blume Corporation, but it has a weakness though. It can be controlled and snooped in to gain covert information. That's how Aiden uses his phone and sneaks into its control centres by modern hacking mechanisms and CCTV's which form an important part of the gameplay.Aiden also has enemies. To defeat them he follows a specific code to nail all rival gang squads of "Iraq" and "Bedbug"and he also sabotages the missions of all the reprobate dons in the city like Lucky Quinn, an Irish immigrant who covers his mafia activities under his restaurant business. He even finds fellow hackers like Clara, 'a tattooed punk rock hacker' who helps him enquire impertinently to achieve his goals. One of them is to safeguard his sister and her child. The game has one of those narratives which is heartfelt.Although the best thing about the game is the impressive real world environment for which its producers Ubisoft should be given the credit. The graphics are commendable. Once you start to get hold of the map of the Chicago city, the gamer in you will guide you through. The heist sequences are one of the most exciting part of the game and in many ways, the most challenging. He has to be smart to escape, and in those scenarios the whole game looks like a cat and mouse experience with the police. Sometimes, you even have to take the water route to escape the police choppers! You feel you are part of some excellent action thriller game: my favourite moment in the game was using massive trucks to wreck police cars and using smart routes to escape.The citizens of Chicago call him a growing menace because of his haywire actions which are broadcasted all over the local media. Aiden can even assault thugs involved in a potential crime across notorious neighbourhoods in the city. He buys new weapons and steal cars. He can even invade privacy, steal money from ATM's and can tap phones of the inhabitants in the city. You can even car chase members of the rivals gangs and steal their info in the process, but for that you need to be in close proximity. That's sometimes grueling.In Watch_Dogs, the gamer can either play the main mission, or he can complete tasks of finishing up the activities rival gangs. But it is always logical to follow the main mission after you cross certain levels of the game. The 'digital trip' is an innovative effort by the game producers. Aiden can use frequencies of his phone and can get into a sort of an astral state, where he experiences an out of body experience. If you keep your console online, there is also a chance that your data may be intruded by any online user. So be careful with that.All in all, any avid action gamer will enjoy eliminating rivals gang cars by grenade launchers, sniper headshots and stealth take downs in this hugely anticipated action game, which is a sure shot competitor to Grand Theft Auto. The end of the game is full of intrigue. The sad part is how Clara meets her fate in a gruesome firing encounter in an isolated graveyard, although his other friends like Jodie Chin and Damien Brenks become adversaries later on. And at the end when Aiden completes his job, it almost feels that he is the real protector of the city, which he saw burning in front of his own eyes.

Nt completed the game...so this review wnt be bout the story....the overall gameplay is gr8... its easy to get accustom in combat if u have played splinter cell ...nd the hacking mechanism is easy nd makes sense most of the time... the story missions are great...but I am addicted to its multiplayer...especially free roam...most things are taken frm gta 5....but if u really want to enjoy this game...my advice is dnt compare it to gta 5... although the world is not as vast as gta 5 ...but evry thing is detailed ...graphics are amazing on ps4 nd slighly better than high on pc .. fps hardly ever drops nd is quit smooth.. overall great game...but most probably nt the best game of 2014

I didn't liked it as mentioned it is not working on my PS4 and also I m not able to return the product. Would be great if u can help further in this.

Great work by ubisoft Montreal, watch dogs is added as another chapter in their book of successful games . although they downgraded the graphics a lil bit . the actual game looks nothing like what was shown in e3 2012. But that's the only drawback . WD is got everything you need, the game's full of side missions , gang hideouts , fixer contracts to name a few . you could easily spend 60+ hours on the game ,more if you're going for the platinum . Chicago is full of weirdos , psychos , maniacs and its up to you to save the city from them. Storyline and narrative is where this game shines . aiden is a likable character and so are others around him . you would easily fall in love with the characters . Multiplayer is a bit disappointing , with the lack of co op and deathmatch mode but the online decryption mode is quite fun. Talking about amazon , they shipped the game on release date but blue dart delayed the delivery by two days due to network isuues . amazon really need to switch to FedEx !

Though the offer was great and it actually attracted me to Amazon but the delay ruined the 1st time experience i had. Was expecting the game on Release day or max the next day...

This was a must-have a long time ago. I expected much from the game, but it bored me and kept playing only because I paid for it not because I wanted to play. The only thing great about the game is hacking into everyone's phone and controlling traffic signals and road blocks.Missions are repetitive and boring.I suggest putting in a little more money and buying something that is guaranteed to be fun.DO NOT BE FOOLED by the EXTRA EXCLUSIVE GAMEPLAY TAG. The offer expired years ago.

This is an excellent game. A very fresh look at game theme.Only 'issue' you might find is that Chicago is not as gorgeous as Los Santos (GTA 5), But the gameplay is totally mind boggling. Especially getting invaded by another player when you are minding your own business hacking something. The cool thing is you just need internet and NOT required to pay for PlayStation Plus (online subscription), for hacking other players.I just can't stop laying this game. I just love it.

This is without doubt one of the best games ever for PS4. You can literally hack anything and it's an open world game. Excellent graphics, story line and game play. It may take bit of time to understand the controls but when you are used to the controls then it would be fun :) Appreciate the on time delivery of Amazon. Cheers!
