Lightning Fast Monopoly
Monopoly Deal is a small card game that I had low expectations for. It was on sale so I decided to give it a try.Gameplay: Each player starts with 5 cards in their hand. At the start of their turn, they must draw 2 cards then play up to 3 cards. They can either play an action card, a property card, or any card into their personal bank. At the end of their turn, they must discard down to 7.Playing cards into your personal bank is valuable, because eventually you'll need to pay rent or some other shenanigans will occur requiring you give money to your opponents. The catch is, you can ONLY play money from your bank/property, never your hand, so you always want to have cash on hand or else you'll have to pay from your properties - and change is not given. The game ends when one player has completed 3 sets of properties.Pros:1. The game is quick2. The game doesn't take up much space (box or table play area)3. There is some strategy4. Game teaches set-collection, hand management, and math.5. The game is quickCons:1. There is a lot of luckThe game plays quickly at least compared to normal Monopoly. I like that it is a minimalist sort of game - it's just a deck of cards so it doesn't take up a lot of space on the bookshelf and the game itself is easy to play on a card table. I like that this is an easy game that we can play on a weeknight. What I don't like is that it is highly dependent on luck. There is some strategy, e.g. don't play cards that can complete your opponents set unless you can complete it yourself, because some cards allow properties to be traded or stolen. You might be out of luck if you don't have a card to cancel those effects. And always have some money available to pay up rent - keep the small change, because no change is given! So in a way, this game can teach the concept of hand management - making good decisions on what cards to keep or play. This game has similar amounts of luck as another Hasbro card game, Life Goals. However, that game has a storytelling element. This game is less humorous and the "take-that" or attacks on other players is more prominent; it's a more vicious game.I did with the last game, but the victory seemed hollow - I just happened to be lucky with my card draws. I didn't do anything to win except follow the rules.Other Monopoly games that we've tried recently include Monopoly Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and Monopoly Chance. Monopoly Chance is the most different from the standard Monopoly formula and I think definitely worth checking out because it has different game mechanics and vibrant plastic skyscrapers. Although both of those games are longer I think they are more fun than Monopoly Deal.Monopoly Deal is easy to play, it's small/travel-size, but I don't think it's one that I will keep. There are a lot of other card games that are small and quick to play that are more fun.If you are interested in small card games that are easy to play with families, I would recommend instead Life Goals, Timeline or Cardline (at least it's educational and has lots of picture), Similo, or Abandon All Artichokes.

Fast-Paced Alternative to Classic Monopoly
Monopoly Deal delivers all the strategy and excitement of traditional Monopoly in a fraction of the time. This card game adaptation is brilliant for anyone who loves the property-building concept but wants quicker gameplay. The fast-paced nature keeps everyone engaged without the marathon sessions that classic Monopoly is known for. Despite the shorter format, it maintains surprising strategic depth as players collect property sets, charge rent, and use action cards to disrupt opponents' plans. Its compact size makes it incredibly versatile - perfect for home game nights, travel entertainment, or camping trips. We've found it works equally well with different age groups and skill levels, making it a reliable crowd-pleaser.The game has become our go-to gift for housewarmings and holidays since it's universally appealing and reasonably priced. Having backup copies on hand has proven wise given how often we recommend it to others.Product arrived well-packaged with all cards in excellent condition. Highly recommend for anyone seeking engaging, portable entertainment that doesn't require hours of commitment.

Worth every penny!!!
I will not tolerate Monopoly Deal hate. If you like Monopoly you'll love this version. It's faster, easier, and it even plays a little differently than traditional monopoly, setting it apart from the og game. There's a good balance between the luck and skill that goes into gameplay. I like the design of the cards, they're reminiscent of normal monopoly but still have a fresh new look to them. Seriously, this version of monopoly is so so fun and anyone who loves board games and card games should give it a shot.

Like Monopoly crossed with Exploding Kittens
I was expecting this to be a mediocre version of the board game. Imagine my surprise— it was easy to learn, fast paced, intuitive, and full of surprise cards that keep you on your toes.Reminds me of the game, exploding kittens with its element of surprise and strategy. The board game can take so long to play with pieces that can get lost, and even the digital version on arcade can take forever as well. Thus I am very impressed with the investment of the game design in this product. My nine-year-old loved it and begged to keep playing it.

A fun, easy to learn cutthroat game.
I got this card game for Christmas and it’s awesome! Honestly great for all ages (NOT for cry babies though🤣). It’s fast paced and super cutthroat. Seriously, no mercy! But one game is only like 15-20 minutes long, so me and my sister just play over and over again without getting bored. The better you are at it, the quicker the game goes. Wicked clever design, honestly WAY better than the OG. I used to NOT really like monopoly because it would take hours and I would always loose. But this game I’d say has a little more of a strategy to it, and it’s much easier to learn in my opinion. They’ve got a ton of action cards, properties, and money. Everything Monopoly has but more, and better! I brought this game to a retreat and it was a HIT! We played several hands and they liked it so much they bought the game! I have to say it’s definitely much more fun with 2-5 players, when you play with too many people (at least in my experience) it can get a little confusing and messy. However I think if you have a big group, as long as everyone has played a few times before it should be fine.

Fun card game
Fun! Easy for the family to learn and play together. Faster pace than the original game. And convenient for travel because it’s a card game!

More Fun Than the Original, and a Family Fave
This game is FUN! Our family loves Monopoly Deal so much we’ve introduced it to friends in several countries in Europe, in Mexico, and of course in the U.S. Play is fast and it’s quick to learn. It’s different from the board game, it’s quick, and it’s addictive.
