Well I'm alive to write a review after 8+ uses.
Used these on two different sedans and they worked great. Good design, the hooks could be larger but I'm impressed how they held. I'm not particularly gentle with these either and they haven't rusted, cracked, or cross threaded a single time. Will probably buy again since I've lost mine, good value and easy to use.

Does the job
This is a great tool the only thing is it’s too big for small ATV springs and made more for car springs. That being said. It works fine.

Worked as expected
No issues, obviously be careful and use patience. I’m sure they don’t work for all coils but worked for me, 03 Deville.

Excellent for what they are... but be VERY careful!
These are excellent quality and very effective compressors. But they have no safeties. This is by design and was necessary for my older springs because the gaps between the turns were too narrow to get my lockable ones on.So these fit, and they worked. But they need to be used VERY carefully. I would only use with a shock INSIDE. This way, if you get a slip, the spring won't fly. Once everything was compressed... I did a very quick swap of the shock. In the whole process, I got two slips, one where the spring could have flown and caused damage. I knew the risk, and was careful. But this was the only tool that would fit in this particular spring. So in sum, this is a saftyless compressor. Only use it if you know what you are doing and take safety measures as compressors in general are very dangerous. Some call them "widow makers" for a reason. But this is unique for the thin hooks... which some springs require.

just don’t…..
gonna be honest.if you can just go rent some from your local auto store. do it, and return them.project was lowering springs for my 2019 mustang 5.0 . didnt need them for the rear, needed them for the front.complete junk.you waste more time trying to figure out how to fit them on bc of the lower strut housing. If I can save 1 person from wasting time getting these, I did my job. Definitely returning these.Good luck.

Great Value for the Money, don't recommend for small imports
It's great value for the money. Unfortunately I attempted to use it on a pair of struts for a 2000 Subaru Outback. I DON'T recommend for use on small imports. Had to rent from O'Reilly a pair with the single hook with locking bar.I'm going to guess that they are designed for larger vehicles or Front Struts.Reading another review, I guy stated he used only one hook at each end.Looked really sketchy

They work.
They did work and that's all i needed them to do. They are for smaller springs. They didn't fit my Crown Victoria's springs so well but i got them to work. The quality is well okayish but I don't think they will last very long. Now that was okay for me because I just needed them for this one job. And I'll be able to use them again if ever needed to. But how many other times is up in the air.
