First laser purchase
This is my first laser engraver, so I have nothing else to compare it with. However, it was easy to setup and start etching some designs using their software. Their software was easy to get up and running as well. I simply brought in a jpeg and started messing around with the settings. So far, it is simple, easy and fun.My only criticism, at the moment, is that the weight of the head unit with light-blocking attachment does pull the etch depth a little deeper into the left edge (side opposite of the Y-axis vertical column) of the design. I have checked the screw tightness and resorted to adding a cardstock shim between the head unit and the L-bracket. This helped level off the unit and the etch depth.

User friendly and easy to set up
I have only had my LP 2 for a couple weeks. Being in the USA I'm having yo get used to mm measurements but the preview helps to make sure my design fits my blank. So far it has done great on wood, anodized metal and aluminum. It did pretty good on glass too. I am waiting for the supplies I need to try out the roller option to do longer crafts. I'm sure I am going to have a blast with that as well.

Do not trust those Youtube reviews!
This laser is definitely NOT powerful enough for any of the advertised materials except for wood. It says it's okay with metal but the laser is definitely not powerful enough for metal etching. If you're planning on starting an etsy store with the LP2, this is definitely going to ruin your product and cost you money. There is no jig so you can't align your products so your print is centered every time. Since there's no jig, you also can't just slide items in and out with the vent shroud on. You have to take off the shroud, align your item, and put the shroud back on.The software is so buggy that if your computer goes to sleep, it will sometimes cause the location of the art to shift to a random place on the laser. The software will show the art at the same place but the laser will laser another area. The worst part of this laser is that the laser power is not consistent in the entire print area! The laser is the most powerful in the center, in around a 1 inch diameter. Outside of the center 1 inch diameter, the laser quickly drops off power so you get inconsistent results. If you want to laser a straight horizontal line, it will literally be faded on the ends and the center is focused. Also there is absolutely no consistency with the laser print. I can laser one that is passable and the next one is completely faded, without changing any conditions. The PC and Mac software is full of bugs. They had an older version of the software that works but it's buggy. The new software that they have on the website doesn't connect at all with bluetooth and forces you to buy the $100 USB dongle to print wirelessly. They also removed the old software so if you don't have a backup of the old software, there is no bluetooth connection. If you are making wood coasters for your family then this works, but if you want to laser any other material or need any consistency then this is NOT a good product.

One of the more better and affordable Laser Engravers
I am a proud owner of 3 of your products. The LP1, the LX1 and I just recently purchased the LP2 which I absolutely love the portability. The things I would suggest is a quick release from its stand for portability instead of having to reach behind the laser shield, and have to unthread a screw. Its a bit cumbersome if you have it up against a wall in the back too.. Nothing major just a thought. I do like the fact the LP1 auto ranges vs having to manually measure on the LP2 but that not a major flaw to me. Speed is definitely better from start to finish than both LP1 and LX1 (lots of set up for that). The app is definitely much better on the LP2.. I wish you would update the LP1 app to be a bit more extensive but thats why I went with the LP2 (though I love all three items). Im still working with LP2 more and may have more ideas but this one is solid for portability and the fact i have 3 of your lasers shows how much I appreciate your quality.. Keep it up.

Very very user friendly.
This is very user friendly, works fine for small stufff, the only weird part is the up and down touch button on the machine, sometimes take several touches for it to stop going down, you need to be careful if not it can break.
