Great Cam with Great Solar Panels
I am not an expert (and have only owned this camera for a year), but it seems to be well made and the solar panel works well. Well enough, that I just ordered two more Tapo cameras with solar panels to replace my Google/Nest (wireless but non-solar) camera. The one I have, works well and I will update this post if that changes.I added a photo TO SHOW the size difference between the single Tapo solar panel and the smaller one that is included in the all-inclusive kit. I haven't installed the it yet, but the C425 with the large solar panel works great and stays fully charged. I am hoping for the same from this smaller panel/kit that I also purchased. One great advantage to buying the Tapo "kit" is that it comes with a Tapo C425 camera! That is the same one I have owned that works great!I believe these previous "kits" came with lesser cameras like a C320 or something. So, I was glad to receive another C425 camera. The smaller kit comes with a smaller solar panel, but I think it will still supply enough power for the C425 to never need to be charged manually. This smaller kit is NOT the bundled offer of the C425 with the larger solar panel... it's the one that shows the the camera and small panel connected... one you could install as one unit in one location. The bundled C425 and larger solar panel are two completely separate boxes (but sold as a bundle, and are designed so you can have the solar panel in one location (aimed at the sun), and a wire that runs to the camera at another location. The kit does allow you to separate (and mount) the solar panel away from the camera, and comes with extra wiring if you choose to so that.I will also be posting this review under the combined kit (and possibly the C425 camera).I will update this in the future with any new details, after I have installed and tried out this all-inclusive kit.

Tapo C425 5/5 Stars
Glad i researched and purchased this sentry camera instead, i was debating on the remo doorcam + 3, and glad i didn't get that as that has mixed reviews. This camera can read a micro sd card up to 512 gb, in order to hold many downloadable clips. The sound is clear, the light is bright during night time, night cam is easy to see, and it holds a consistent connection without any buffering. Of course, make sure you have a stable and reliable internet plan and not have a cheap internet package for best results. Overall, i am content with this camera and the ability to adhere to any part of the house that is magnetized, in my case i did not have to use the screws/parts it comes with to bolt down the camera and parts. Parts of the camera and piece it comes with is magnetized with the part of the house.I recommend this camera to anyone that wants eyes on their property when they are away and to ensure their valuables are safe. other thing i'll note is that, you would have to charge the camera every now and then unless you decide to get the solar panel version of this camera.Amazing Device.

Solid-working totally wireless HD camera with a solid, clever mount design
Great backyard security/wildlife camera with an clever and very strong magnetic ball/socket mounting scheme that works fine. Only offered in white, but a small assortment of camo spray colors from Hobby Lobby fixed that. Very versatile and useful mount. Excellent clarity and color in both day and night photos and videos, super wide viewing angle with surprisingly low distortion. Battery life has so far been better than expected, but also depends a lot on how you set up your motion detection, recording and playback. However, after two weeks of very heavy use and experimenting, and near constant recording, I still have 93% left on the initial charge. I expect to easily get a couple of months or more between battery charges. Very flexible recording schedule options. The camera is easy to set up using phone or iPad, accepts TF size memory cards so no cloud needed. One caveat: I have 5-bar WiFi strength in my back yard, but that's likely due to my three-router TP-Link mesh WiFi system. You should walk around outside with your phone and verify signal levels in the intended area of installation before you order one of these. I have yet to lose WiFi signal or experience a connection failure. Impressive. I have a mix of Tapo and Amcrest security cameras, and I must say I have found Tapo's camera management software easy to use, and light years ahead of Amcrest's crude and clumsy equivalent. I highly recommend this camera and especially TP-Link/Tapo in particular.

Great features and quality
I've only had this camera for a week. I replaced another security camera that was no longer working. I'm very impressed with this camera! Install was super easy, the app is easy to use and the picture quality is great. I like that is has a microphone and how wide the view is compared to my last camera. I can't vouch for the longevity, but for the price it's a great camera.

Decent camera for the price.
There are so many cameras on the market to choose from. They all have their proprietary apps and subscription fees if you want to store videos on the cloud. The Tapo cameras are good cameras for the price. There are better cameras if you want to spend a lot more. Video quality is good but only 2K. Field of view is good and the battery stays charged with my solar panel as a charger. I'm not sure how it will do in the winter months as the sunlight dwindled. I don't like the fact that these cameras use micro USB instead of USB-C. The motion detection works okay but not great. It seems to be triggered by wind blowing the trees but not by some animals walking into the field of view. I have one camera pointed at a garden and it never seems to catch the groundhogs or rabbits sneaking around. It does record people most of the time.Overall, these are probably the best cameras available at their price point. If youre looking to purchase a bunch of cameras and dont mind paying the monthly fee for video storage then I'd recommend giving them a try. Picture quality is better than my Ring cameras. I'm not sure about reliability but I'll update if they fail.
