Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is the third time I have bought this product. I have one attached to my duty weapon (for quick and easy storage in my works gun lockers) one on my JPX holster, which i switch to while inside my facility and one on my EDC. They make swapping between handguns easy and for larger guys, being able to leave the holster in a gun locker, make sitting in seats with arms much easier. I bought a knockoff version once, the lockup was weak and at times the holster would not lock in place properly. This brand is have never had an issue with that.

This is a game changer!!! It took me 7 minutes to install on to my safariland holster and on to my belt. Simple and easy to set up. Even easier to take off my duty belt. Quality item for a more than affordable price. I about to buy another one, just gotta get permission from my accountant/wife.

I bought this for my wife's duty rig, and she loves it. It makes her routine of getting ready for work easier, as well as the removal of her duty weapon when entering the jail. As a gun guy myself, Safariland makes some great stuff. I can't think of any other time you'd need this, but there's bound to be more uses for it, and it's very nice to have for the convenience of not having to remove the gun from the holster when it's not necessary.

Great general use adaptors i have them for all of my holsters and even adapted some for extra mag pouches so i can move them around and be versatile.

Straightforward installation, perfect fit for safari land holsters. Very solid construction, bought it after the firearms instructor at my department recommended it. Great for the price.

The Quick Locking System (QLS) is used for holsters on the Safariland Equipment Locking System (ELS) belt. I have only one complaint about the QLS, it will not fit the 1 3/4 inch ELS belt without modifying the belt. The holes in the 1 3/4 belt will not line up with the receiver plate of the QLS. One of the factory holes will line up with one of the factory belt holes, but the other receiver plate hole will be over leather. The solution, get over it, and drill the smallest hole which will allow you to mount the QLS receiver plate. Once you have done that, welcome to a world where you can use the same belt to carry almost any gun and in the same location on your belt. While the easy solution is to get a Safariland holster, many are compatible with QLS, you are not limited to Safariland. I was able to take an old competition holster and, using parts from the Safariland Customizer kit, change the old holster to work with the QLS. Now, just by changing the holsters, and related equipment set up with ELS forks, I can use the same belt for a 6 inch S&W 627, Colt Gold Cup, or Glock 17. And when I get my new Safariland 6378 holster, I will be able to carry a large frame Glock in the same spot on the same belt.Plus, while I have not done it, I think it would be very easy to adapt the QLS receiver plate for use as vehicle, desk, or other off body location. As a duty system, I believe the QLS has great value, especial for jail personnel. No unholstering and clearing the weapon, with the potential for a negligent discharge, just unhook the holster from the receiver plate (the gun never has to come out) and place it in the lock box. Simple, safe, and secure. Same would apply to home storage. Another quality product from Safariland.
