Great cable with reliable communications and power connectivity
I was having trouble with my Thunderbolt connection from my Plugable USB Port replicator to my Dell laptop, and I also wanted the 90deg connector to keep the cable routing streamlined. This cable has been very reliable and seems to be very good quality. Solved my communication problems!

Perfect for an external SSD enclosure on Apple Silicon Macs using Thunderbolt 4
Unlike most of the products that are labeled “Thunderbolt 4 compatible,” this cable is certified and delivers 30gbit+ speeds to the newer Pcie Gen 4 NVME SSDs in thunderbolt enclosures that are rated for 40gbit transfers. A great product and a good value.

Amazing quality cable, just not long enough.
This is the best thunderbolt 4 cable I’ve ever used. Performs perfectly, value is solid, and charging capacity is exactly as expected. It is short however, making it hard in many cases to use with a monitor arm as the cable run is rarely long enough to connect the device (laptop, display, etc.) that is being used without cluttered by immediate desk area around monitor arm or other desk accessories. An extra 20 cm would be ideal.

Fast and flexible.
Backup times are faster than ever between my PC and my external drives.

Another great cable from Plugable. A reliable, solid choice for TB4.
This review is for the “Plugable Thunderbolt 4 Cable Right Angle 40Gbps with 240W EPR Charging, 8K Display, Intel Certified 2.6 Feet (80CM) Compatible with USB4, Thunderbolt 3, USB C, iPad, MacBook, Windows (TBT4-240W-80CMR)” on 29MAY2024I’m a big fan of the Plugable products. They’ve all been fairly solid. There was a time when I was using a Surface Pro adapter from them and I had a minor comment about the resolutions from the adapter. They messaged me and fixed it in the next revision! Now, that’s customer service. This cable is a typical Thunderbolt 4 cable. Plugable’s cable is not as flexible as other cables, you’ll feel that the cable is a lot more plasticky and stiff than other cables, but that’s saying its not of good quality. The plugs are molded plastic of similar type and seem to be of good construction, so they should be able to withstand field use. The cable is not tacky at all, but not as smooth as the newer type with silicone, nor is it like a Google or Apple cable sheath. It does feel like quality, however. The cable has the correct IC at the plugs, telling the devices what power should be flowing through the cable, and since it’s TB4, it should also work with all flavors of USB that came before, including USB3.2 2x2, which I’ll mention again in a moment. In terms of power, I can only test for 140w PD, which it worked to full power with my 140w battery and meter. The cable slowly ramped up to 140w, which is what it should at spec, and sometime around 85% it lowered down to ~80w until it was close to full, staying at 5-10w. I checked to see if the plugs were hot. They were not. I consider that to be a successful charge! In terms of data transmission. I check not only TB4/USB4, but also 3.2 2x2 20Gbs, which isn’t always supported with cables correctly. This cable sustained a 2TB transfer at 2.1 Gbs for TB4/USB4, and 1.3 Gbs for USB 3.2 2x2. Your milage may vary, but this means the cable is working correctly with my Intel NUC 12 TB4 port and the two drives that I tested with.So yes, this is a great cable, and with the reliability and customer service of Plugable, I’d say get it. Worth the price for sure. This is a RECOMMEND!

Long cable, works great with my external razor GPU
This cable works great with my razor external GPU device. I am able to connect the gpu to my laptop and play games using my 1080 GPU. The cable is long enough where I do not have to worry about it being too short to reach my laptop as well as having a right angle so it does not stick out so easily. The cable is not made of nylon fiber but it is still relatively durable. I like that you get a longer length provided with the razor external GPU case. I could actually go a bit further with my laptop. It allows me to place the external GPU further away. There were now issues with the video connection between my laptop and the GPU. The cable has a pretty reliable feel and connections. This cable works well with thunderbolt port with both my asus and lenovo laptop. I did not try it on my apple laptop for the GPU but it did work with my thunderbolt external hard drive. You can plug it into a thunderbolt device or any type c port without much issue. It is pretty secure and the right angle makes it easier to keep the cable out of the way. There is also no heating issue on either end. It can be used as a charging cable and it does support fast charging port given you have the right outlet to do so. Back to durability, it does you do have to worry about the cable getting frayed or anything. This cable thickness is about the size of standard type c cables. Overall I think this cable is pretty nice and works great with my external GPU which is what I wanted it for. It is longer than the cable provided to me. It is durable and I have no issues with the connection.

Works great with my use case, predictable product from Plugable
I've used a number of Plugable products, and this one is the same quality I expect and experience with their products.I don't max out the capacity of these sorts of cables, but this one delivered 100W stably to my Macbook Pro and a battery pack, and met my expectations for USB storage (my storage mostly maxes out at 10gbps and most of it is closer to 5gbps). The right angle connector is convenient for wall adapters and compact storage drives. While you can beat the price with lesser known brands, this cable at $30 is a reasonable value for a proven brand with maximum specifications (40gbps, 240w, 8k video). I'm satisfied.
